Phlegm

Damn..have been sick since tuesday morning when I had to come home from work because of a fever that was developing itself in the depths of my body. Since that day I have been coughing, puking, sneezing, shivering, having headaches, blowing my nose and what not. I hate being sick! And now my girlfriend is getting sick too. Not so strange you might think, except that she's on the other side of the world..hmmm..has telepathic infection ever discussed? Maybe that would be a good way to prove that telepathy is real or not.

Anyway.

Only two more weeks to go and I won't even remember that I was sick, that's why I'm writing it here now. Not to complain by the way, you know how I hate people who like to tell their problems to others. This blog is basically meant for myself only anyway, as a sort of diary. So who the hell am I talking to anyway? Myself? Then why do I call myself you? Hmmm..confused now, maybe I should just stop.

Molestation Island

I don't watch reality show by principle, because they're so fake (note the irony).
However, today I read in the papers that some country's version of the program Temptation Island, a woman was practically molested. She was with someone other than her own boyfriend (why would she do that, beats me), and this guy wanted more of her. She didn't return the thought so he got a little annoying. Started touching her in places and things like that. When she pushed him away he actually forced her to kiss him, and after that tried to "pleasure" her with his hands. She slapped him in the face, wrestled herself out of his hold and ran away. Please note, that all of this happened before a camera. In other words; A camera crew (cameraman, soundguy, lightguy) stood and watched while this girl was almost raped. Hello?! Am I the only one who sees the madness in this whole thing? Reality tv shouldn't go much further than that..what's next? A Boeing747 nose-cam while it flies towards Empire State Building? I really wonder what has to happen for people to take action. As far as the girl in the tv show concerns; I'm glad that she didn't get molested, but I think she deserved to be frightened like that. Like I said, I'm against shows like these, but Temptation Island especially. How much confidence do you have in your relationship in the first place if you decide to join this freakshow? You tell me.
The media are greatly responsible for the terrible condition in which humanity is situated currently. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they should censor every little thing. I'm from Holland, so I'm used to stuff. But I do think that, especially reality tv, is adding to the madness.
However..the biggest question of all is; Will you get tempted by what you see? There lies the answer..there lies the truth about whether or not you belong in jail. It's funny..if you think about it..the biggest criminals..cold blooded killers, rapists, abusers, drug dealers, mobsters...they are really the weakest people of us all. Just don't tell them I said that :)

Freedom of speech?

Last week a well known film producer in my country was murdered, in broad daylight. He was cycling home when a muslim extremist overtook him and shot him to death. Why? Because the producer gave his personal opinion about some aspects of the islam. He said that the women are treated very badly in most muslim countries, and he even made a short film about it. This and this alone was the reason he was killed. Where does humanity stand if we can't even say what we think anymore? I thought we got through the middle ages already. Apparently not. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the islam. I actually think that the islam has some really good concepts and ideas about certain things. What I am against is muslim extremism. Why can't you just accept non-muslim people's ideas? Why do you care what they say? Do you think that after performing actions like these that other non-muslims will quickly convert to islam? Think again. And the worst part of all; When the media report about these extremists, they don't want to be recognised. On video tapes they wear masks, in newspapers they don't want their name to be mentioned, and no pictures can be posted of them. If you have such extreme ideas, at least have the balls to openly come forward with them towards the whole world, without still hiding yourself. Weak is what I call these people. Weak in its most extreme form.

Anticipation

Today in less than 4 weeks, Wendy (my girlfriend) will come to visit me once again. We have an extreme case of Living Apart Together. We live together in our minds, but physically we're 12000km apart. It's been like that for 4,5 years and I'm frankly getting fed up with it. Waiting for her takes so long..but when she's here time flies.
Conclusion; Time sucks.
However, whenever she's here I have the time of my life so that kinda makes up for it. Conclusion #2; Life is good.
It's hard for me to believe that we've managed to maintain this relationship, cause I'm ususally not a very patient guy, so I must have found the girl that is actually worth waiting for.

Final conclusion; My girlfriend rocks.

Turbo Language

Is anyone else as frustrated as me when they hear, or even worse, see people use so called "turbo language"? This uncomprehensible form of speak irritates the hell out of me. I mean why can't you just type "the", instead of e? I mean the letter e doesn't even sound like the word "the"! And besides that, are you really that lazy that you won't take the trouble of typing two more letters to actually form "the"? It takes about 2 tenths of a second more to type these letters, t and h are so close on your keyboard! Or is it a handy tool for people who have abominable typing skills?

Other than that; What is it with people and their constant need to announce their "problems" to the world through msn messenger sign in names? I don't care if you're sick, depressed or worried! If I would care, I would contact you and ask; How are you? That's when you can tell me if you're sick or if you have just been dumped or whatever terrible drama is filling your life at that moment. Other than that; Just live your life, like everyone else. No one will gain from the fact that they read on their msn contact list that you "found e strength & courage to carry on wif life despite e ups & downs" I mean, good for you that you have gotten over your personal self pity but don't try to get any from others. That makes you a sad, sad being.
Life isn't so bad..have a little more respect for it by not complaining about yours all the time.
